In an effort to foster educational experiences and promote exchange of knowledge between industry and academia our factory recently had the privilege of hosting a group of enthusiastic young people from a school in Munich. This unique and exciting opportunity allowed them to get an up-close look at our operations and learn about manufacturing processes and gain an insight into the world of industry and innovation.
The visit was carefully structured to ensure the students had a comprehensive understanding of our operations. It began with a full health & safety briefing and a welcome from our team who provided an overview of the factory’s history and its importance within the local community. The students where then guided through a series of engaging and informative activities.
The students donned safety equipment and had a chance to see first hand the various processes involved in creating our products. They witnessed the raw materials being transformed into final products from first stage manufacturing through to final assembly and Quality Inspection before being packaged ready for despatch.
The visit proved to be a mutually beneficial experience that left a lasting impact on both the students and our team.
Wallace McDowall are committed to support education and provide a platform for aspiring young minds to gain real world exposure to the manufacturing sector. We believe it is important to share industry expertise with the younger generation to inspire future professionals and also to strengthen connections between industry and academia.
